Montriond – The ski resort
The ski resort is made up of two sites, Ardent and Les Lindarets, giving access to the slopes of the Montriond – Avoriaz ski area and its 75 km of gliding. While passing through Avoriaz and the neighboring station of Châtel, we offer the great escape to the Portes du Soleil ski area connecting 12 French and Swiss ski resorts for a total of 600 km of slopes (largest cross-border ski area in the world ).
The ski resort of Montriond is known for the calm and quality of Lindarets restaurant tables, ski-in / ski-out hamlets grouping typical Haute-Savoie chalets built of stone and wood. This is where the majority of accommodation (hotels, furnished tourism, holiday center, bed and breakfast) and restaurants offering a menu that mixes gastronomy and traditional cuisine. There are also souvenir shops and cheese sales (do not miss the famous Abundance!)
On the side of the off-ski activities, there’s nothing like a snowshoe hike around Lake Montriond or around the Lindarets to appreciate the charm of this wild and unspoilt mountain corner, or ski joëring to taste the pleasure gliding with the horses (no need to be a great skier or even a rider, you just have to know how to hold your skis parallel). For the more adventurous, head for Lake Montriond for an extraordinary experience and completely frosty: diving under ice! Or baptisms paragliding and speedriding from the ski slopes: thrills in the program. Also on the program and at night, two activities as simple as fun: the descent of toboggan runs and yooner, enough to ensure good moments of frank fun with family and friends.
