These two sectors total 12 lifts (1 gondola lift, 4 chair lifts – 2 of which are accessible to pedestrians, 7 ski lifts), 23 ski runs for all levels, 2 boardercross and a toboggan run. An extra is included in this atypical area: the Conche and Dieu des Têtes ski lifts belonging to the nearby Swiss ski resort of Torgon (serving as a link point to Les Portes du Soleil).
In the Crêt-Béni sector, 16 tracks (3 red, 9 blue, 4 green) are used to glide through a beautiful fir forest on a 566 m vertical drop from 1064 m to 1630 m above sea level. from the Mont de Grange (2432 m).
A shuttle takes skiers to the Braitaz sector to take advantage of the 800 m difference in altitude also drawn through the firs. The seven tracks (2 red, 3 blue, 2 green) and the boardercross, spread out between 1200 m and 2000 m altitude under the look of Mount Linla (2093 m), give access to the Portes du Soleil via the Conche and Dieu drag lifts. Heads.

To the delight of the founders, the Nordic Area of the Abondance Valley, traced along the river Dranse and linking the resort-villages of Abondance, Châtel and the Chapel of Abundance, offers 35 km of slopes all levels. Raquet hikers are not left out since 80 km of footpaths pedestrian-snowshoes are present in the valley, what to leave to the discovery of a preserved nature (ibex, chamois, mouflons …) on a background of postcard.
La Chapelle d’Abondance restaurant scene
You have several very good restaurants in La Chapelle mostly around the high street. Our favourite is certainly Les Cornettes where, whenever we are in area, we make sure we stop for lunch (or dinner) to enjoy their superb value menu or a la carte. Superb attention to details and local products without any pretentiousness just straightforward and succulent local mountain fare.
