Findhomeabroad and the COVID-19 crisis

This is an unusual time for many of us and the wellness of our clients, partners, French developers and staff remains our top priority. We hope this finds you, your families and friends well and coping with this ever-changing reality.

We are receiving many questions about the implications of the Coronavirus on ongoing investments in the French Alps, so this blog post is to reassure everyone on several important topics.

We also know that many of you want to stay informed and without the ability for most of us to travel, we are using technologies: organising one-to-one online meetings to answer any questions you may have over the coming weeks.

Ongoing reservations and purchases with Findhomeabroad

Regardless of the stage of purchase, our client relations teams in London and France will remain operational, progressing your purchases and pushing them towards the finishing line. For those of you who have just placed an option on a given apartment (pre-reservation stage), we are keeping the option for indefinite times, until we can appreciate the situation better. For those who have reserved (sent the signed reservation contract) but not paid the deposit yet, we put this on hold as well until more clarity arises.

Our contacts in each market, from the Notaires and developers in the French Alps, also remain operational in terms of progressing with our clients’ new and existing files.

French banks: The feedback is that they are still working on existing applications and new applications can still be studied, so there is not much change except perhaps some delays at the risk committee level for now.

French Notaires: Our contacts in the French Alps remain operational and are fully equipped to work remotely. They are creating contracts and reviewing existing ones, as well as processing new and existing reservations, and successfully completing property purchases.

If you have any questions, please contact us at or get in touch with your usual contact at Findhomeabroad.
